The shift
The search box is becoming a conversation.
Travelers used to scroll ten blue links and three OTA ads. Now they describe the trip — the neighbourhood, the budget, who they’re travelling with — and get a handful of names back.
If your property isn’t one of them, the booking goes to a competitor before anyone sees your rates. There is no page two.

A visibility score from real searches
Every property gets a 0–100 score per AI engine, built from real answers to 17 traveler prompts — location, rates, amenities, trip type and booking details — and re-measured on every cycle.
Category and broad visibility, scored apart
A hostel shouldn’t be graded on “best hotels in Lisbon”. We score the prompts your property type can actually win separately from the wide-open ones, so a boutique hotel and a hostel in the same city read honestly on one dashboard.
Who gets recommended instead of you
See which properties the engines name in your place, for which questions, on which engine — and watch the set move week to week.
The sources behind the answer
Which OTAs, travel guides, review sites and tourism boards each engine leans on when it describes you. Fix the source, fix the answer.
A prioritised list of fixes
Missing amenities, an unclear location, conflicting rates, no structured data, pages AI crawlers can’t read. Ranked by what moves the score.
An AI-ready page for every property
A structured, machine-readable page — rooms, rates, amenities, location, policies — built to be crawled, understood and cited.
How it works
Four steps from “not mentioned” to recommended.
- Step 1 Scan
Add your properties. We ask the questions.
For each property, Explore resolves a set of traveler prompts from its own facts — city, neighbourhood, landmarks, rates, amenities, the trips it suits — and runs them across every engine.
- Step 2 Spot
See where you’re missing, and why.
Where you don’t appear, where you’re described wrongly, and who takes your place. Every gap is traced back to the source the engine was reading.
- Step 3 Optimise
Work the list. No redesign required.
Clear rooms, rates and policies on your own site. Structured data engines can parse. Cleaner OTA and guide listings. An AI-ready page for the property.
- Step 4 Measure
Watch the answer change.
Scores, rank and citations are re-measured on every cycle, so you can see what moved — and track the AI-referred traffic landing on your site.
Who it’s for
Built for the people who answer the phone.
General managers, revenue and marketing leads, owners. Anyone whose direct bookings depend on being found.
Independent hotels & boutique stays
You own your demand channel and your story. Make sure the engines tell it the way you do — and point the booking at your site, not an OTA.
Hotel groups & management companies
Every property, every market, one portfolio view. Compare visibility across cities and brands, and see which properties are carrying the group in AI answers.
Hostels, aparthotels & serviced apartments
Scored against the prompts your category actually competes in — “best hostels for solo travelers”, not “best luxury hotels” — so the number means something.
Vacation-rental & villa managers
AI answers “where to stay” with whatever it can read. A structured, citable page per property makes sure that includes you.
What is Explore?
Explore is an AI search visibility platform for accommodation — hotels, boutique stays, hostels, aparthotels, guesthouses and vacation rentals. It measures how your property appears when travelers ask AI engines where to stay, scores that visibility, shows which properties get recommended instead of you, and tells you what to fix.
Which AI engines do you measure?
ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok and Claude. We run real searches on each engine rather than estimating from web rankings, because the engines answer differently and change often.
How is the visibility score calculated?
Each property is measured against a resolved set of 17 traveler prompts — location, rates, amenities, trip type and booking details — on every engine. The 0–100 score reflects how often, how prominently and how accurately the property appears in those answers. It is split into category visibility (prompts scoped to your property type, such as “boutique hotels in Lisbon”) and broad visibility (“where should I stay in Lisbon?”), because a hostel and a five-star hotel should not be graded on the same question.
What’s in the free scan?
Share up to three property websites. We crawl the key pages — rooms, rates, amenities, location — run three traveler prompts across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Grok, and send you a report with per-engine visibility, first opportunities and the prompts used. It lands in your inbox within 48 hours.
Do we need to change our website?
Not to start. Explore works from your existing site and listings. Most fixes are about clarity and structure — rooms, rates, policies and location stated plainly, structured data engines can parse, consistent facts across OTAs and guides — and we can publish an AI-ready page for each property alongside your site.
How is this different from an OTA or metasearch?
An OTA hosts your listing and takes a commission on the booking. AI engines read OTAs, guides, review sites and your own website, then recommend a handful of names. Explore works on that layer — the one that decides which names come back — and aims the resulting demand at your direct channel.
Is this GEO / AEO?
Yes — generative engine optimisation for accommodation, with measurement first. You cannot improve what you cannot see, so Explore starts by measuring the answers, then prioritises the changes that move them.
